On April 6, 2018, GAMA and Garmin Aviation hosted a rally to celebrate the general aviation manufacturing industry at Garmin's new warehouse and distribution center at its headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. Speakers included GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce, Garmin President and CEO Cliff Pemble, Garmin Aviation EVP and Managing Director and 2018 GAMA Chairman Phil Straub, as well as Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS), Congressman Ron Estes (KS-04) and Kansas Lieutenant Governor Tracey Mann. Bombardier Business Aircraft President David Coleal, Yingling Aviation Chairman and CEO Lynn Nichols and Textron Aviation VP Doug May also spoke at the event.
