In 1975 the Penn Central Western Region Operations office was in Room 582, and the Regional Transportation Supt. in 578. The office manager and secretary were in the middle, Room 580.
I had heard that at one time the Pennsy Chicago Train Dispatchers were in the corner office next to 584.
Around 1979 or 1980 the Conrail Chicago Division dispatchers moved up from the old Pennsy Commissary Bldg at 16th & Lumber Sts to the long office suite of Rooms 563, 559, & 557. In 1986 we moved to Lansing.
