Mael Seachnaill

Máel Seachnaill II who became the first king of an all-Ireland state following the Battle of Clontarf in 1014. I took a sunset image of his Sculpture by the banks of the Boyne River in Trim, Co. Meath. I love how the setting sun illuminates the clouds in the background to create an atmosphere of fire, thunder and battle.
