1971 TS185 Suzuki "The Bultaco Killer"
I built / modified this bike when I worked at Suzuki. It started life as a green tanked 1971 TS185R. I raced it at Perris, Elsinore, Adelanto, and Ascot in the early '70s. It ran real good and usually won the 200cc class which didn't sit well with the Bultaco riders! During the time that I owned and raced it, I tried ignition systems from a TM400, TM250 and the TS185. The power from the TM400 ignition box and stator was awesome!!, but I could never get good color on the sparkplug and I was afraid It would hole the piston or worse. Ended up using the TM250 parts.
