Hammertime 3k - Castle
The Black Falcon Black Watch.
The Desserts of the Drylands are impassible by any living creature. Where the Drylands meet the Skylands, there is no border guard, no defence towers, it is just not necessary.
But, at the most northern point of the border, where the land meets the sea, lies a doorway. Recently uncovered due to a landslide, the doorway leads into an vast, uncharted network of tunnels and catacombs.
Minor explorations quickly revealed the tunnels were a safe way of passing through the Drylands and the doorway, aptly nicknamed 'The Hell Gate', posed a threat to the Kingdoms of the Skylands.
King Godfrey was quick to establish a barracks at the Hell Gate. He positioned his finest soldiers to guard the door way. These men and women became known as 'The Black Watch'.
The Hell Gate was kept secret from the residents of the Skylands in a bid to stop panic befalling the 4 Kingdoms, but with the whispers of War starting to stir, will the Hell Gate be kept secret for much longer?

Sir Jordan, Black Watch Knight - One of the first men to guard the Hell Gate, one of the few original guard that still live.
Sir Arland, Black Falcon Champion - A Knight who has fought and survived many competitions of the sword and jousting. Looking for new challenges to test himself, the King suggested entering the Dryland Tunnels, a challenge that was excepted. Sir Arland paved the way for many other Knights to challenge themselves in the tunnels.
Gord the Dark, Black Watch Ranger - The Falcons elite warriors, the Rangers, remove the green armour that helps them hide in the greenery of the Skylands and don dark armour that helps them hide in the dark of the tunnels. It was the rangers who have managed to secure certain tunnels beyond the Hell Gate in order to set up defences that help bottleneck any creatures trying to enter the Skylands.
Katrine, Black Watch Archer - Originally an archer for the Hawks, Katrine grew tired of the drills and left Northhaven in search of her own adventure. Travelling north, she ran into a battle between the Black Watch and some unidentified creatures. Unleashing a volley of arrows into the creatures, she was able to aid the Black Watch in a victory. She was recruited to the Black Watch shortly after.
Lord Deckard, Champion of the King - Lord Deckard fought in the name of the King in tournaments all over the Skylands. In the name of King Godfrey he would claim victory after victory, but still the Kings attention would be focused on others Knights. After learning the King had shown interest in the other Knights as they sought out new challenges, Lord Deckard asked if he too could attempt these new challenges. Shortly after, he joined other Knights at the Hell Gate in order to challenge himself. With the large influx of Knights coming to aid the Black Watch, the Black Falcons were able to create a secure foothold in the tunnels, and the first 'Safe Zone' was created.
Finally, how could i not enter a Black Falcon Figbarf in Hammersteins competition? That would be Blasphemy! But if i was going to go Falcon, I would have to do something different to stand a chance of winning. I hope i managed that. Thanks for the Challenge Hammerstein!
