Ontour inschools 2008 Season - Check Out
Set in a supermarket, Check Out is about the remarkable adventures of Baby who is determined to get what she wants. After a tantrum that leaves her suddenly alone, Baby heads off to find life on the shelves and among the products. She soon discovers it’s a weird world out there and sometimes you need more than ‘stuff’ to see you through.
With a host of puppet characters Check Out subtly challenges students to consider their place in a society that tells them to buy, buy, BUY!
About the artists:
Polyglot Puppet Theatre is the major children’s theatre company in Victoria and one of the major puppetry companies in Australia. They recently won the Drama Victoria Award for Best Performance by a Theatre Company.
