ESSENCE OF TIME LIGHTS_1
Untitled, 2016, Residual waste, Glass
EXHIBITION OF THE YEAR, HBKSAAR
29 January 2016 - 1 February 2016
Hellwighaus der Künste
Mainzer Str. 119 , D 66121 Saarbrücken
In a twenty day ritual I chose an item from the basement room of the Hellwighauses everyday, and arranged it in another room on the third floor. I gave myself the task, to win a personal contact to the house over this forgotten item. In the next step, I drew every new item from the first selected perspective and marked my point.
So a sculpture developed in the exhibition space, surrounded by a focus on card, which was now no longer just a collection of forgotten items. A something, formed by a ritual hunted on. What was previously down, is now up, what was in the dark, is now in the light. A table of confession and the reverse head stand for this turn. As well as the belief in a transmitting matter: the essence.
The visitors of this area remains an important aspect of invisible but accessible: the cleared basement.
