Very late

An amazing thing happened yesterday in New England, the sun came out....and stayed out. After 6 months of clouds and rain, we've had some really clear and cold January weather here. NECR's southbound train 324 from St. Albans, VT had quite a bit of trouble on Roxbury Hill. The crew had to double the hill and they only made it as far as White River Jct. where the 611 crew from Brattleboro re-crewed it and came south with 4 matched orange SD40-2's. Most of the time, the train is in darkness above Brattleboro, making this a unusual day. Here after a long battle just getting to Brattleboro with engine trouble, NECR 611 with SD40-2's 3478-3405-3477-3475 split the signals at the junction of the Pan-Am, former B&M and CV mainline at East Northfield, MA on November 23, 2018.
