Worth gown

Circa 1890, shows what women like the Forsytes and those married to them would have worn to balls, operas and formal dinners. Though Worth's gowns were quite expensive, the Forsytes could easily afford them. The colors would probably have been more vivid, but not as much as those in the 1870's and 80's.
