Hyde Park, The Serpentine, 1890's

Hyde Park, still the most fashionable, or at least one of the richest sections of London (i think), was just so in the 1880's. The various Forsytes had their dwellings strategically around it, with Soames & Irene in Knightsbridge--not ON the park but near it, to the South, Winifred and her parents in Park Lane to the East, Timothy's, Old Jolyon at Stanhope Gate and Swithin's (in Hyde Park Mansions) to the north and Roger at Prince's garden's to the West.
