Wrapped cord samples
Machine wrapped cords:
The first samples are of wool wrapped with threads of complimentary colours.
The second sample is wool wrapped with contrasting colours in the spool and bobbin.
The third samples show wool wrapped with complimentary colours with added scraps of fabric. I wrapped a small piece of fabric around the wool and then machined over it.
The final sample shows wrapped novelty wool which includes beaded wool.
I had the feed dogs down for the wrapping but if you are not familiar with this techinique you may wish to start with the feed dogs up and the zig zag stitch set at wide and a stitch length of 1 or 2.
