I have shown with this a page from The Birmingham Post of 17th Sept about one of the first women to be forced fed, Charlotte Marsh.
The article was written by her great nephew, Duncan McAra, and tells of his great Aunt's three month's hard labour sentence, during which she was force fed 139 times.
