Metamorphosis - detail

Part of yet another "Warts and all" piece.

I made this many years ago and had such a stong vision right at the start, which is usually a danger sign.

The whole piece is large and shows the transitition from a clay mask to a textile one.

This textile mask is made by heavily embroidering on to water soluble fabric and then applying jute scrim and enamelled pieces.
