In my small urban garden it's necessary to pack the flowers and veggies together in a way which would be unthinkable in a larger space.
This year I've grown my runner beans up the sunflowers and neither seem to have suffered.
I'm also having to grow these in large containers to prevent damage from the dratted badgers, foxes, squirrels and cats. It's a wonder I have any garden left!
