Images taken at the ‘Faces of Cambridge’ event held at the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial over Memorial Day Weekend 2017. The event was to show the human side of those who fought in WWII by placing a picture of the person at the headstone or on the memorial wall where these are known to exist. The event has also been held in what is the 75th Anniversary of the arrival of US troops in Britain, known as the ‘The Friendly Invasion’.
The Cemetery is a beautiful setting in which to come and reflect on the lives of those young soldiers, airmen and sailors.
They shall not be forgotten.
