A Glimpse of a Dream
I know there is a place
Somewhere I didn't leave
I know there is a time
Where I stayed with you
Sometimes I glimpse a dream
Where I knew you were enough
Sometimes I ask myself
If I can be forgiven
I pretend to pretend
That I can go back
That we could have been
Happy
I know there is a place
Somewhere in my innocence
I didn't create
My own Hell
Sometimes I pretend
I live on the dance floor
Of my memories
Where sadness is beautiful
I pretend to pretend
That wounds can heal
That mistakes are ephemeral
And you are happy
Sometimes I ask myself
And pretend I don't know
Sometimes I pretend
I never hurt

I was in the kitchen cooking grilled cheese on fresh bread, and out of the blue I got the urge to write these words down. So I rushed to my PC and wrote this prose poem of sorts. I thought of turning it into an art film, but somehow that didn't feel right. So I went with the dance approach. Thank you so much for the visit, dear friends.
