Gentle Opera
I've wanted to catch up with my friends here at Flickr, but every time I visit all I see is broken and distorted shadows, and it demoralizes me, and I give up.
I was having a conversation with a friend a few weeks ago about old 1960s films I loved such as Zatoichi and Tokyo Drifter, and I discovered that Tokyo Drifter (1966) was made by the same person who made Pistol Opera (2001) which I also loved. That director was Seijun Suzuki, so I set out to watch some interviews by him, and he inspired me to at least try to make another film.
This is what I made, inspired by Pistol Opera, but when I made it all I could see was broken patches of foggy color, so I hope its flaws are forgiven.
Thank you for the visit and for your patience while I continue to build up the strength to visit :)
