Kerið Crater - Colors of Iceland - #explored 15.12.22
The human eye is far more perfect at separating colors, using the cones as receptors and converting them according to the color experiences of what we have seen so far in our lives.
Now it was a gray day, I had already reported about the miserable weather of my 6-day trip to Iceland. Everything I got on the lens was a mush of dull colors, but my eye told me that what I was looking at here was actually a true sea of color.
So it happened that I took an HDR shot. It took me some effort to find the mixture that best corresponds to my memory of this mystical place.
So here it is, Kerid Crater, as I remember it from my inner eye.
