Twas The Night Before Xmas...

Twas the night before Christmas

and all through the house

 

Not a creature was stirring

not even a ....

 

Hang on a minute...

 

The Dogs are not snoring

There's something afoot

 

There ears are all pricked

and there senses are heightened

They all will protect this house

and wont be at all frightened...

 

They know they are watchdogs

and good ones at that!

They have a go at anything

except for the cat..

 

But wait there's a noise....?

What on earth's that?

 

Faint bells are jingling

There's noise from the roof

They will all start to woof in a minute

I'll just wait for some proof

 

There's someone in the house

Dont know how they got in

but they managed to do it

without making a din!

 

Wait he is looking at all with a

welcoming smile

Maybe ill be quite and let him fuss for awhile

 

He pets all the fur heads and tells them all is ok

They are all doing good jobs but hes not here to stay

 

As he gets up to leave, with boxes round the tree

With a wink, and a smile and a scratch behind each ear

He looks up and sees me peering and says...

 

That there's one for each furbaby, and one for me!

of the year, never leave them tied up

outside in the cold...they are family
