Our Organic Balcony Garden
This is our organic balcony garden in Winnipeg. We have been growing it for two summers now.
We have tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, and peas. We are also working on a herb garden with several fun herbs. You can also see our prairie grass bin which is in it's second year.
All of the plants, seeds, soil, and worm castings were purchased at various organic stores in Winnipeg. We also used worm castings from our own vermicompost bin.
Winnipeg has a great organic community with Sage Garden Herbs, Humbolts Legacy, and Organic Planet helping us get started.
We have a great south facing balcony that gets sun all day long. We just tasted our peas and they were so good. Tomatoes and lettuce are on the way!
