On the hazelnut bush – the very first spring blossoms :-)

Both male and female flowers appear on every hazelnut. The male flowers appear before the female flowers – and probably have to wait here for a time ... The female flowers are bud-shaped and bloom after the male flowers – and they take their time ... In the course of their flowering phase, they are pollinated by the male flowers using the wind.

Am Haselnuss-Strauch – die allerersten Frühlingsblüten :-)

Sowohl männliche als auch weibliche Blüten kommen an jeder Haselnuss vor. Die männlichen Blüten erscheinen vor den weiblichen Blüten – und müssen hier wohl noch warten ... Die weiblichen sind knospenförmig und erblühen nach den männlichen Blüten – und lassen sich also noch Zeit ... Im Verlauf ihrer Blühphase werden sie mithilfe des Windes von den männlichen Blüten bestäubt.
