This fairy tale is about a carpenter's apprentice, who at the end of his apprenticeship gets an inconspicuous little table. If you say to the table "table, cover up yourself!", Then he is neatly set and provided with the most delicious food. ... A tempting performance ;-)

Lent: The time before Easter, which is consecrated in the Christian Church to fasting, abstinence and penance to commemorate the fasting of Christ in the wilderness. In the Western Church, it lasts from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday and thus covers 40 days of the week.

In diesem Märchen geht es um einen Schreinerlehrling, der am Ende seiner Lehrzeit einen unscheinbaren kleinen Tisch mitbekommt. Wenn man zu dem Tisch sagt „Tischlein, deck dich!“, dann ist er sauber gedeckt und mit den herrlichsten Speisen versehen. ... Eine verlockende Vorstellung ;-)

Fastenzeit: Die Zeit vor Ostern, die in der christlichen Kirche dem Fasten, der Enthaltsamkeit und der Buße geweiht ist, um dem Fasten Christi in der Wüste zu gedenken. In der Westkirche dauert sie von Aschermittwoch bis Karsamstag und umfasst somit 40 Wochentage.
