The Snobbish Café

Hi guys, today the review will be short and simple. A few words would describe the forgettable experience of dining out at Café Milano Grand Indonesia mall. Welcome to Café Milano where you are guaranteed to meet one of the most snobbish staff you could probably face. The reservation desk had employees enjoying a long chat while I was waiting for them to pay some attention and finally when they got time they asked me if I wanted a table, (off-course not I came to say a hello on my way to the taxi stand,,,). Anyways that’s how the beginning was, moving ahead I must warn everyone this isn’t a place for non-smokers as there is no non-smoking zone. The lighting at the café is apt for fine dining and had a candle lite dinner feel but then again it’s totally on the waiters discretion to light the candle on your table.
There is no standard and the staff lacks proper training. It was evident that neither they were able to manage a small crowd just starting to build up on a Saturday evening nor they had intent to try.
Don’t expect that you will be provided with a desert spoon. The waiters are way too busy to provide those.
After taking a seat the waitress approached with the menu and kept on the table. She mumbled that if we needed any help we may call the waiter and while she was speaking she had already started to walk away – ” Lack of courtesy “. Having received a bad reception me and my friend wanted to just try the selection of desert and leave the place. We ordered Gelato Cocao – Tella and Tiramisu Cup. I would recommend Cocoa-Tella to everyone but Tiramisu Cup was a failure, it lacked the flavor that one would expect while ordering anything that contained Tiramisu. Refer to the image we were served large-sized spoons and no desert spoon was on offer. The waiting time was relatively high and not worth keeping in mind the overall experience. Here is how I would review Café Milano :

Value for Money : 2/5
Final Verdict : A major disappointment, standard of service nowhere near that of a fine dine restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and sure not visiting this place ever again. The only thing to look forward is the ambience and food quality but that is ruined by the unacceptable standards of service.
