Milky Way arch in March

Rising MW arch above the Bend of the Danube in Hungary.

There were multiple factors to be taken into consideration to take this photo: check the moon calendar for newmoon (you can't spot the Milky Way in moonlight), look up the time when the Milky Way is rising above the night horizon, search for an ideal location on a light pollution map, select a night with low humidity and clear sky without clouds. All criteria to meet. Moreover, you need a special equipment: ultrawide-angle lens with extreme low-light performance (Tamron 15-30mm f2.8) )to gather enough light to show the stars and decrease digital noise, camera in full manual mode, manual focus with Live View mode at 10x magnification to set infinity sharpness properly.

I took 5 photos with ISO 8000, f 3.2, 25 sec shutter speed at 4 a.m. in the night, then stitched them into a single panoramic shot before image post processing.

In Hungary (and almost everywhere in Europe) it's difficult to find places without light pollution but this meadow in the hills surrounded by woods is quite good...however the towns and villages next to the Danube spoil the experience.
