My wife had pointed out this little gully eroded into the rocks, so I guess i'll need to credit her on the image :) The water was still running down it from a tidal pool above so you can imagine the how it was formed - like a miniature valley with the river running below - still mind-blowing when you consider the timescales involved in any geological change large or small. Here the erosion had revealed and polished some beautiful gold and blue coloured sandstone.
