Strawberry Moonset

A beautiful start to a summer dawn across a New Forest heath. Just past the full moon. We seem to derive a lot of names for the moon from the native American nomenclature and June's moon is no different, signifying berries coming into harvest. Other European names I saw included, honey moon, mead moon or rose moon. June's moon is lower in the sky and can therefore look a litlle rose tinted as there is more atmosphere for it to go through. The slight pre-dawn magenta sky helped to give that impression here.
