In full flight, Limerick

This shot surprised me, as it illustrates the muscle tone developed by young swimmers. This swimmer was only 12 when this was taken. The butterfly stroke, for me, is the most intriguing and beautiful of the 4 swimming strokes, as its best exponents mimic the body movements of dolphins and whales. Mastery of the rhythm of Butterfly is the preserve of the few.
