Kadowaki Elementary School sits at the bottom of a hill in Ishinomaki. It was hit with the earthquake, tsunami, and fire walls that came with 3/11. The classroom that is pictured was being used on the day of the tragedy where the children had pushed their desks to the back of the class in order to do an activity in the middle of the classroom. It shows how the disaster of 3/11 struck while everyday life was going on. You can see how just the metal frames are left from the fires that burnt up the building.
