During a gloomy high tide, the Great Torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine appears to be floating in the sea, which earned it the nickname "the Floating Torii Gate". The orange torii gate stands out from the gray, dreary landscape, which I thought was captivating and further symbolized its sign of welcome.
