No Egrets
My wife is a wildlife biologist and although she has never worked with them, she has a special place in her heart for Great Blue Herons. We have more heron photos, painting and sculptures in our house than I care to admit.
She had asked me many times to make a heron out of Lego, but I just didn't think I could do it justice. However; when LEGO released the King Fisher and a few key parts were released in the colours I needed, I decided to give it a go!
BTW - I didn't edit out any supports. The heron is standing on one leg and is balanced by the bent lag and one reed in the back. It is surprisingly stable!
