Pryce: Macabre Halloween Challenge--SL Dusk Till Dawn Contest
Subtitle is "A Portrait of Lady Macbeth"
Before I had even heard of the Pryce Macabre Halloween challenge I had already started thinking about doing a Lady Macbeth portrait. Her steely ruthlessness and ambition set off the regicide and bloodletting of the play. It also drove her husband to his death and herself to madness and suicide. It was too juicy not to turn into a pic for this challenge.
I folded the hands to suggest the beginning of the obsessive hand rubbing (Out, damned spot!). The right side of the face reflects her inner dissolution. I was originally going to use facial expression and shadow to suggest the onset of madness but the challenge just bumped me in a more extreme direction. Okay, maybe I got a little too into this.
The French Hood is from Junbug as is the gown, which was a Fifty Linden Friday item. I shot this in one of the Game of Thrones sets at Backdrop Cove.
