Amine LO is above all a producer of millet, maize. It was with the introduction of rice that he decided to diversify his production because, he says, "we introduced rain fed rice cultivation for self-consumption because we had to sell the millet crops and corn to buy this staple food. At the end of the first campaign, the populations remained a year firm without buying rice, which boosted the production of this speculation.
The average yields obtained in this zone are 1, 5 tonnes / ha
"At the end of each season, with the produce of the harvest, I manage to reimburse inputs and seeds. The remaining stock is sufficient enough to ensure the supply of the family throughout the year
Personally, I have seen only advantages since the introduction of this speculation in the zone "I assure our self-consumption and with the products of the sales, I assure my daily expenditure, school fees and health of the family. I even managed to build my house.
