Juvenile Bald Eagle

In a hike this morning down by the river I almost didn't notice this youngster hanging out. He/She was not too bothered by me. It took me awhile for me to get my camera out of my pack, I was afraid he would fly away, but I think he was rather curious in what I was up to. I played with this image to lighten up the background and make it monochrome. I think it intensifies his eye even more. They are such cool birds and I always feel so fortunate when I get this close to one.
