Lego character piece guide: valkyrie, mantis, mainframe, ironfist.
so recently i bought the thor ragnarok set: the ultimate battle for asgard and was overall pretty happy with the selection of minifigures with only minor adjustments needed. I initially swapped out valkyries hair for reys hairpiece, not ideal but considering legos choice of the orc hair from the hobbit sets i figured it would do the job. Since the comic con trailer for ragnarok valkyrie is revealed to be wearing a completely different outfit.When it comes to marvel figures i am a completionist and like to get the figures in their quintessential appearances so when i saw her new outfit i knew i needed to figure out a solution. for valkyries torso im planning on using the super adaptoid torso from earlier this year. Its not perfect but i looked online and found little to no white/silver/light grey female armour torsos that would represent her well. for the legs i suppose any sort of silver or grey armour printed legs would work well however i think i will try and track down some nexo knights legs and remove some of the gold printing. just a standard blue cape for her and her head from the set.The set itself comes with some extra sword pieces so i figured i would just paint the blades blue, as they appear in the trailer. the hela figure from the set comes with an alternate hairpiece which i reckon works perfectly for her. for mantis i am looking to track down the poison ivy figure from the lego batman movie to use her dual molded arms. i am also considering using a green waistcape, not poison ivys but one similar to the one that came with scarlet witch in the civil war sets. i am planning on recreating all of the original guardians of the galaxy from the end of vol.2. i have a pretty standard idea of what pieces to use for them but for now here is mainframe! so for mainframe i am trying to track down a cheap cyberman dimensions fun pack so i can use the head for her. im thinking i will have to paint the eyes green and a small silver rectangle over her mouth, other than that the piece is perfect and i have seen others use it for her before. and finally for iron fist, pretty straightforward. just a gold hand and a yellow powerblast from the new 2017 dc sets. i reckon it will give my danny rand figure a bit of flare. anyway sorry this is a long one. give me your thoughts below.
