Texan Theater - Greenville, Texas
I was passing through Greenville and decided I’d stop and explore a little.
The Texan theater is located on Lee Street and opened in 1934. It was remodeled years later in 1952. The marquee sign was lit showing its neon colors. (A nighttime shot would have been the icing on the cake).
In the Summer of 2010 work began to restore the theater, and was reopened as a dinner theater. (I’ll have to take in one of their shows).
This particular weekend, (11-2-19), they were having the 6th annual Bob Wills Fiddle Festival.
When I got there, this space was the only spot available to park in. So I got a cameo shot of my truck in the picture. I’m wishing now that I had moved it afterwards. I could have captured the sign on the wall behind it.
