An adventurous night...
This is not the most beautiful image of our home galaxy, but it is my first good picture of it.
And it was quiet a challenge to get to the location this was shot.
The photo was shot in the alps near the city lienz on top of a mountain with a lake.
It all began with a family vacation in austria and I`ve planned this tour together with my 17 year old twinbrother.
It is the first time we spend the night on top of a mountain without a tent.
After a 4 hour hike we finaly arrived at our destination called the Neualpseen.
It is high alpine territory which means that the temperatures are pretty low. Luckly, we had enough blankets and thick clothes to not die by the cold temperatures
(I know, this is a bit overdramatic(._.))
We hoped that the lake would be a nice mirror to reflect the milky way, but we got disappointed because of a strong wind.
And the moon came up after a few hours which made it very difficult to photograph the stars. At around 2 a.m we decided to go to sleep
We didn`t sleep very well because we haven`t found a wind-proof loacation where the ground is level which meant that we were in danger to slip into the tarn.
But we survived and early in the morning, we made our way home.
I will upload more photos from that night in a few days.
