Weekend #3 of the Virginia Scenic Railway's "Summer of Steam" shows the Norfolk & Western 611 Class "J" pulling excursions between Louisa and Gordonsville, a modest 15-mile one-way trip. With the short trips and level grade, opportunities for "dramatic" shots were limited. The one exception to this was the departures from Louisa. Seen here, the 4pm trip on Saturday puts on a nice display of sight and sound as it passes a local cemetery.
