Backlit Roe Deer
Whilst walking along my local canal yesterday I saw these three Roe Bucks and a Doe in an adjacent field.
Its unusual to see them out in the open like this in the middle of the day as they are a very nervous and wary species.
Hiding behind a hedge I managed to get close enough for a few shots but the bright sun was directly behind them so I didn't expect to get any usable shots.
Not the best shot I have ever taken but I was pleased that I managed to retain some detail in the deer.
Here you can see they have just sensed my presence and seconds later they made off in the other direction.
