Snowy morning

Before the start of winter, the weather forecast was that it would be strong and snowy. I was looking forward to that, to having a bit of atmosphere to capture some good photos, as Autumn didn’t fulfil my full expectations, although it was always going to be the most beautiful season for photography.

If I’m not wrong, we have just three days of mild snowing as of today. It is still mid-January, so the probability of heavy snowing in my local area is still a possibility. Still, as time goes by, I’m becoming increasingly sceptical about it. So, I decided to use every chance I had to get photos with snow in it.

A few mornings ago, when I woke up and saw there were whites around I was actually not that excited at all, because I thought it was not enough amount of snow that fall through the night. I was prepared to go outside anyway regardless of the weather. As I was moving up, I noticed that the amount of snow was actually quite higher than I imagined in the first place. Suddenly, I was a bit overwhelmed with warm feelings, although it was cold outside.

It is actually quite funny, how weather can reshape the look of a landscape, at least for photography purposes. I photographed that morning, many sights that I wouldn’t imagined being photogenic or having that catchy factor to even consider getting a photo.

For this photo, I was passing by the road that is beside the one I ended up photographing. By chance, I noticed the road lines leading further into the part of the forest. After a quick observation, I composed a photo that I probably liked the most that morning from a bunch I’ve got. Now, I mentioned the way the weather can reshape the landscape for photography purposes. Not in a million years would I even consider photographing this location in any other weather conditions due to how much trash is on the ground under the snow. Also, there are some power wires here, but they are perfectly blended in the scenery.

All in all, I had a much fun morning in the forest photographing. One of the reasons was that I didn’t expect this amount of snow. But you know what they say, best things happen when you least expect it.
