Celestial Framing
"Celestial Framing"
Taking the time on this "winter-storm" off-day, to process and post some of my other Solar Eclipse photographs taken from this past August 21, of 2017.
This image was taken using my full-spectrum-modified Pentax K-01 (mirrorless) camera body, via use of a color-infrared filter placed on the lens, which allowed for maximum detail and significant gain in lighting even in twilight-like darkness.
Camera was secured on a tripod, aimed skyward, pre-focused, and the Solar Eclipse was deliberately framed against an opening in the thick canopy of towering southern pines (at 'Forest Point' Park, in the Reservoir area of Brandon Mississippi).

~ Location: Jackson, Mississippi - Metro area.
~ Date/Time: August 21, 2017 - 13:44 pm Central (Local) time. Just shortly past the maximum point (80%-predicted) of Partial Solar Eclipse coverage for my region of observation (which occurred at 13:26).
~ Camera: Full-spectrum modified Pentax K-01 mirrorless body (capable of imaging a broader spectrum of radiation, including UV-A and near-IR spectrums, thus allowing a significantly higher EV-gain capability in shadow and highlight areas normally clipped/washed out by conventional camera equipment).
~ Additional post-photo image processing, including adjustments made to shadow/highlight curves, white-balancing, midtones, sharpening, etc.
