Concentration
by Ruben Monda
Statement: Food is important for the survival of life. Food is Food. But what if food was human? The goal of my concentration is to show a different side of food as if it was human or something from the human world. The idea that holds my series together is food. Any and all types of food will be shown and represented in my series each as its own picture under this central idea. The images will be held together by High-contrast, color pop, and sharp image in post-production.
Concentration Explanation: Most people just look at food as a necessity and nothing more. Because of this, making the food humanlike would give a different perspective that you’ve never seen before and make you think differently. Changing the appearance and story of a common household food like watermelon, for example, makes the viewer intruded because they know what the thing originally was, and see exactly how we changed it. This same point makes the idea evident and obvious to the viewer even at first glance. Visually the images will be linked together with the concept of human food and editing similarities. Making each image have similar editing are more connected visually. As shown in my first image, the color and contrast are very strong. This is also true in my other photos.
