The Feast of Herod and the Beheading of the Baptist
This painting shows a continuous narrative. I'm not familiar with the story, but it's clear that there's a developing story of this man's doom. One scene he seems to be beheaded and another scene seems to be showing his head on a platter. I'm not positive but I assume this was made before the Renaissance due to a lack of realistic/proportionate figures, obvious halo's, and a lack of perspective.
