Addison Alexander Mackenzie, ca. 1955
After serving constituents in Woodbridge and on the York County Council, Addison Alexander Mackenzie went on to serve in provincial politics as a Progressive Conservative Member of Legislative Assembly for York North from 1945 to 1967, when he retired from public life. Mackenzie died on May 13, 1970. The Woodbridge branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is named in his honour as is Major Mackenzie Drive.
