Lieutenant Addison Alexander Mackenzie Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1914
Alexander Mackenzie was transferred to France as part of the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles in 1915 and was awarded the Military Cross for valour at "Regina Trench" at the Battle of the Somme in 1916. Mackenzie attained the rank of Major before being severely wounded at the Battle of Vimy Ridge in 1917.
