“Entertainment to Raise funds for Unemployed,” The Liberal, 1933

The Great Depression resulted in massive unemployment, with social consequences that began to manifest in 1932. These ramifications were felt keenly by the Township Council and Vaughan citizens, who took measures to alleviate the burden on their most vulnerable residents, such as holding concerts and fundraisers.
