“Thornhill,” The Liberal, 1935

The Thornhill Women’s Institute, as well as other charitable organizations in Vaughan, did their best to help their communities during the Great Depression. In addition to fund raising, these groups often prepared baskets of food stuffs and clothing that were sent to those in need.
