Thomas and Hannah Agar
In 1830, Thomas and Hannah Agar, originally of Yorkshire, England, moved to Lot 11, Concession 10, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Highway 7 and Huntington Road. The Agars were of the Methodist faith and all except one of Thomas and Hannah’s six children came with them to Canada. Thomas and Hannah lived on the farm until their deaths, Thomas in 1848 and Hannah in 1862, and both were buried in the Coleraine cemetery.
