The Edgeley Women’s Institute was heavily involved with agriculture within their community. Soon after forming, they held harvest festivals, joined their meetings with those of the Farmers’ Club and later linked with the Woodbridge Horticultural Society. The group also catered suppers for different agricultural organizations and events, such as the Ploughman’s Supper and the Milk Producers Supper, predominantly in the 1930s and 1940s.
