Over time, the Elder’s Mills Women’s Institute expanded the variety of its social offering for members, as indicated by the following survey of events from 1982. Highlighted events included attending a luncheon (shown above) as guests of the Burwick Women’s institute, a bus trip to the Blyth Summer theatre followed by dinner in Listowel, attending workshops on food for all seasons and simple home repairs, and a demonstration on glass collectibles. The group also entertained the members of the York West District Women’s Institute and attended the 85th Anniversary Celebration of the founding of the Women’s Institute. This branch disbanded at the end of 2010.
