The Hawker Typhoon was manufactured by Hawker Aircraft Limited, a company founded by Henry Hawker and his three partners. Hawker Aircraft Ltd. was formed shortly after the First World War and expanded rapidly in the interwar years, subsuming several of its competitors. The company produced several planes that were used in the Second World War, including the Hawker Typhoon, Hawker Tempest and Hawker Hurricane. Over time, the brand name “Hawker” was removed from the names of their products and just as Hawker Aircraft Ltd. had subsumed its competition, it eventually became part of Raytheon Technologies, an American company currently based in Massachusetts.
